Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest,
Do you collect tea cups? The other day I went to the thrift store, and there were beautiful tea cups for a mere $3.00 each. It looked as though someone had to let go of their collection.
There were quite a few bargains that day, so I took a few pictures, I'm moving, and cannot bring another object into my house, so I came home empty handed, but I have the photos to share with you.
I think for the price ($4.96) this was a steal
Where else can you get a place setting for $4.00?
Is this your cup of tea?
These designer plates were just the right shade of blue. |
Very English, don't you think? |
Marked 50% off of $50., this made someone very happy.
I've always loved violets |
More pretty tea cups |
An assortment of baskets |
and art galore......for every taste
Just imagine how someone could decorate their home, and the money they would save buying at the thrift store. Sometimes it looks like an antique store as well. I know that through the years I have found lovely pieces from thrift stores. A little paint, work, new upholstery, and voila, collectible pieces.
Thank you so much for browsing with me.....
Till Nest Time,
Jeannie

Hi Ellya, my sister couldn't believe that I didn't buy that one, but you know how it is when you start packing up stuff to move and you realize just how much you already have. Thank you so much for the visit.
DeleteJeannie
You hit the tea pot jack pot that day.
ReplyDeleteI know, and all of the pretty tea cups, I'm sure that someone is enjoying them now. Thank you so much for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteJeannie
Wow, what a shame you weren't able to buy some of those gorgeous pieces! I wish I was there as I would have loved the tea sets.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Natasha in Oz
Hi Natasha, they were really tempting. Thank you for the visit and taking the time to leave a comment.

Oh my what a fabulous shop, I could probably get in a ton of trouble there. Thanks so much for linking to Inspire Me. Hugs, Marty
ReplyDeleteHello Jeannie and Linda,
ReplyDeleteOh you are lucky girls to have such a great thrift shop by you! These prices are fabulous, even my Goodwill is much higher priced than this. Such fun finds!
So glad you are having fun.
Hugs,
Terri
Great minds think alike? I took some pics in a thrift shop just this week thinking if I can't buy them I can at least blog about them! Always a joy to stop by.
ReplyDeleteHi Susan, look forward to seeing your thrift store post. Thank you for stopping by.
DeleteJeannie
Loved seeing what was available at your thrift store! I love thrifting and frequently stop into my local Goodwill (it's across from the grocery I usually shop at). The tea cups are beautiful and the chaise is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteWow, I want to visit that thrift shop! Beautiful pieces, but do understand about not having room...
ReplyDeleteHi Joy, all of the teacups were at a thrift shop the size of Walmart, but the tea pots and furniture were at a local Goodwill. The prices there are always pretty reasonable. Have a great day, and thank you for taking the time to visit.
DeleteJeannie
Those prices are amazing! Love the violets teacups and the blue chaise lounge! Pity you couldn't buy a little something to take with you! But I'm sure the new neighborhood you're going to will offer up some wonderful finds too. Thank you for joining me for tea and have a lovely day, ladies.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Hello Sandi, hope that you are feeling much better now. I love the violet teacups as well. We always appreciate your visits and your teas. Have a great day.
DeleteJeannie and Linda
Oh, how lucky you are to have a thrift store like that in your backyard. I collect three-legged teacups and love violets too so that set would have had to come home with me, room or no room. The pink ones would have found a new home here as well. Would that I could visit that store and take home such treasures (sigh).
ReplyDeleteI would have gladly bought and sent them to you had I known. I'll keep you in mind next time I see a three-legged teacup. Thank you so much for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteJeannie
I do so love going to the thrift stores! So many great finds like the beauties you've shown here. That chaise would have been mine!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patti
Hi Patti, If I were not moving, it would have been mine too. Thank you so much for the visit.
DeleteJeannie
awe, so sad to me! I collect three footed tea cups ~ and I wonder what will become of them someday??? great find! xoxo, tracie
ReplyDeleteHi Tracie, you are the second person to say they collect three footed tea cups. I get them next time, and let you know. Is three dollars a good price for a three footed tea cup?
DeleteHave a great day.
Jeannie
Lovely post!
ReplyDeleteOne of my greatest pleasures is to go thrifting and flea market shopping!
I almost always find something amazing.
Thank you for sharing!
Will visit again soon.
Elizabeth
Thank you so much Elizabeth. Have a great day.
DeleteJeannie
Love them all!
ReplyDeleteI have gotten addicted to thrift stores, hardly ever go to a "real" store any more. Those violet tea cups are beautiful- I would have snatched those up! :)
ReplyDeleteI want to do a thrift store run right now! You found some pretty things!
ReplyDeleteHi Mary Anne, happy hunting! Thank you for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteJeannie
I love beautiful teacups and there are certainly some lovely ones here, but I would have definitely been trying to get that chaise...love a chaise!!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that chaise be great covered in white? I love a chaise too! Thank you for the visit.
