Thrift Store Browsing

Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest,

Do you collect tea cups?  The other day I went to the thrift store, and there were beautiful tea cups for a mere $3.00 each.  It looked as though someone had to let go of their collection.

There were quite a few bargains that day, so I took a few pictures,  I'm moving,  and cannot bring another object into my house, so I came home empty handed, but I have the photos to share with you.

I think for the price ($4.96) this was a steal

Where else can you get a place setting for $4.00?

Is this your cup of tea?

These designer plates were just the right shade of blue.

Very English, don't you think?

Marked 50% off of $50.,  this made someone very happy.

I've always loved violets
More pretty tea cups

An assortment of baskets

and art galore......for every taste

Just imagine how someone could decorate their home, and the money they would save buying at the thrift store.  Sometimes it looks like an antique store as well.  I know that through the years I have found lovely pieces from thrift stores.  A little paint, work, new upholstery, and voila, collectible pieces.

Thank you so much for browsing with me.....

Till Nest Time,

Jeannie

    1. Hi Ellya, my sister couldn't believe that I didn't buy that one, but you know how it is when you start packing up stuff to move and you realize just how much you already have. Thank you so much for the visit.

Oh you are lucky girls to have such a great thrift shop by you! These prices are fabulous, even my Goodwill is much higher priced than this. Such fun finds!

  11. Loved seeing what was available at your thrift store! I love thrifting and frequently stop into my local Goodwill (it's across from the grocery I usually shop at). The tea cups are beautiful and the chaise is gorgeous!

    1. Hi Joy, all of the teacups were at a thrift shop the size of Walmart, but the tea pots and furniture were at a local Goodwill. The prices there are always pretty reasonable. Have a great day, and thank you for taking the time to visit.

    Blessings,

  14. Oh, how lucky you are to have a thrift store like that in your backyard. I collect three-legged teacups and love violets too so that set would have had to come home with me, room or no room. The pink ones would have found a new home here as well. Would that I could visit that store and take home such treasures (sigh).

  15. I would have gladly bought and sent them to you had I known. I'll keep you in mind next time I see a three-legged teacup. Thank you so much for stopping by.

    1. Hi Tracie, you are the second person to say they collect three footed tea cups. I get them next time, and let you know. Is three dollars a good price for a three footed tea cup?
      Have a great day.
