Well, I'm back with more finds.
I was lucky this past weekend, because I found a three drawer chest, very French, it is painted black, with flowers of many colors, can't wait to get started on it. It really needs a lot of TLC, I'll show it to you later. But for now, just a few finds I couldn't resist.
I was lucky this past weekend, because I found a three drawer chest, very French, it is painted black, with flowers of many colors, can't wait to get started on it. It really needs a lot of TLC, I'll show it to you later. But for now, just a few finds I couldn't resist.
First find, is a basket, I'm not usually a basket person, but I couldn't resist this one, with it being Fall, and imagining the basket full of just picked apples. Its made of wood, and has leather handles, and it was free. I was walking in my neighborhood, and one of my neighbors had put it neatly on the street, and it's like new!. Nothing says Fall like a basket filled with fresh picked, or fresh bought apples.
Second find, is a small silver tray. I saw something similar to this in a store, and was anxious to try it. It was so simple to do, I just painted the middle part of the tray with blackboard paint, if you are good with a brush, this requires no taping. It isn't perfect, but I have another one to practice on, and they were only $2.00 each at GW. I'm thinking it can be used to display a menu, maybe a saying, or just near the front door to say "Welcome" to my guests.
Third find, is a Rooster lamp. It is a natural brown iron color, really cute. I really like the plain brown, but it would probably be lovely spray painted black, dark blue, or red. I think in this case less is more. Maybe just a colorful shade? What do you think? I snagged this for only $7.00 at GW. It will probably look great in the kitchen.

Hope that you enjoyed my finds this week (not bad for $10.00), and hope to see you again.
Happy hunting!
Till next time,
Jeannie

Oh wow! Those are some great finds. I am really loving that free basket! I like what you did with the silver tray, and I love the size of it. The rooster lamp is my favorite, though! I would love to have it for my kitchen.
