Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest
I did have before pictures of this coffee table, but can't seem to find them. I found this coffee table on the side of the road in my neighborhood. It was painted white, is kidney shaped with pretty trim, and castors on the legs.
I thought I could sell it, it was in great shape, and very shabby chic. I put it on Craig's list and there were no takers. I tried this a few times and no takers. But in the back of my mind, I could see this table as a bench at the end of my bed. So it's been sitting around for a while and I decided to upholster it, and turn it into a bench. Photos are a little blurry, sorry.
I decided to paint it pale blue, but it was too pale, so I decided to paint it grey. I love Paris grey, it goes with everything. A little dry brushing over the blue, and I was happy with the result. I added foam and batting, and covered it with canvas. I like the beige and grey together. It was a little difficult to upholster because of the shape, but overall I'm happy with the result, and can't wait to use it in my room.

The shape is really cool for a bench. Way cooler than a coffee table. I would love it if you would share this at my link party.

Love the shape of this. I like unique and different pieces in my house and this is such a nice piece to own. Thanks for your sharing your lucky find. I need more roadside furniture. I hope I can find a pencil post bed someday. *wink*
ReplyDeleteGood Morning Ally, Thank you, I love the shape as well. Where I live, everyone puts their furniture pieces in one place before it's picked up by the trash, it's amazing what they put out.

that's a great idea...looks good!

Thanks so much for stopping by!! I store all of my decorations up in my floored attic since we have no basement. I do have a storage shed that we rent for the larger Christmas items.
ReplyDeleteI will be posting about my Weight Loss Journey soon and my progress so I hope you will stop by again.
