   I did have before pictures of this coffee table, but can't seem to find them. I found this coffee table on the side of the road in my neighborhood.  It was painted white, is kidney shaped with pretty trim, and castors on the legs.

Searching For Spring

Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest,

   Spring, Spring, Spring!  That's what everyone is talking about, as I look out to a muddy back yard with no sign of life, and I'm freezing inside.  I see all these colorful pictures, everyone getting ready for Easter, but I see nothing faintly resembling Spring.  We had snow flurries just the other day, but all this excitement must be about something.

Blue Transferware & The Gift

Hello again from The French Hens Nest!

  In 1987 I moved to a rural area near New Bern, NC. It is mostly farmland, and homes are about a mile apart. After feeling isolated for awhile I attended the little church at the end of my road and discovered a friend from high school in the 3rd row!  It turned out that she lived less than a mile from me through the trees.  We rekindled our friendship and many visits back and forth began.

I bought an umbrella stand one day not sure if I really liked it.  It's red but the decoration is a little modern for me.  I've used it for about a year and every time I see it I am not really sure about it. 

It's okay, but not me.

Stop! Stop! I Shouted, Don't Throw That Away!

Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest,

  I  was getting ready to enter the maintenance

yard of the development that I live in,  you have to swipe your card to open the gate.   That was when I spotted a French chest being carried to the dumpster.  I said stop! as I tried to swipe my card, it didn't take, I shouted stop! as I tried it again.  Of course no one could hear me, so they started taking the drawers out,  they took out the first drawer, and I'm saying no, no, then the second.
