Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest,
I went to a craft show a few weekends ago; quite by accident. I was planning to go to the Home and Garden Show in Washington, DC, but someone told me it was at a different location, so that's how I ended up at the craft show in Chantilly, Va. And I was really looking forward to the Home and Garden Show, and meeting the Rehab Addict, Nicole Curtis. But since I was there, I decided to enjoy it. I took pictures of some of the art that I enjoyed, and I'm sharing them with you.
My first and favorite is from Artifactual Adornments, original handcrafted artifact jewelry. The pieces are made from artifacts excavated in Charleston, SC. I think they are lovely.

Don't these look yummy?

I watched as a young lady painted some eggs, real eggs.
Of course, I really like the blue and white best.

I love anything to do with the beach, and loved these paintings on tables, boxes, benches, etc.
The artist is Jean Oates @ www.Oleplantation.com

This one is so creative, I was drawn in by the jewelry, and amazed that these pieces were made from a motherboard, that's right, it's called Motherboard Jewelry. You'll be amazed too.
Well, that's it for the Craft Fair. I really enjoyed it, and all of the art on exhibit. Hope you did too.
Till Nest Time,
Jeannie

What a place! I'd be in heaven there ( and yes the soaps look yummy and good enough to eat )
ReplyDeleteXOX
Sure looks like you had fun! I think I went to a craft fair last fall in Chantilly, Va. and got a lot of great ideas. Didn't know about this one though. I use to live near National Harbor on the Maryland side so am familiar with the area. I really love going to craft fairs too.
ReplyDeleteThat looked like a wonderful outing and I am swooning over the transferware. Those soaps are indeed yummy looking. Thanks for sharing your trip to the fair with us at my HOME. Have a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
What talent! I'm amazed by that motherboard jewelry. Who would have thought that recycled computer parts would make such fabulous jewelry.
ReplyDeleteIt's so fun to go to craft fairs and you two have certainly got some great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up with us this week at BeBetsy BRAG ABOUT IT Tuesday Link and Hop.
See you soon!

Yes, I like the blue and white eggs best too. If I'd have gone, I'm afraid I'd have lugged back a bunch of beautiful blue things.
ReplyDeleteHappy Blue Monday, Jeannie.
Ooh, you found some wonderful treasures, and accidentally too. That makes them even more special, I think. My favourites? Hard to choose but the earrings in the 4th shot and the two pottery photos just before the eggs really caught my eye.
