A Drive Through the Woods

Hello Again From The French Hen's Nest,

As you can see, the Fall leaves are at their peak here in Northern Virginia, the colors are just beautiful.   Fire red, burnt orange, limey green and yellow, created just for our enjoyment.
Even in this metropolis, you can still find a country road, where cattle and horses graze.  And just a short drive away are the Blue Ridge Mountains.   So where are we going??

Over the hills and through the woods,  to
Historic Clifton, VA.

Charming old homes

And you may ask, what is in Clifton?  Ok, you know, La Bella Luce!

Mantle decorated for Fall

And the front porch packed with beautiful items......

And my, that's right, my chandelier!

I finally decided that I couldn't live without it, it was love at first sight (6 months ago).  Now I just need a place to hang it.

Aren't these red and gold sconces beautiful?
And I love the color of this chandelier

Now I'm thinking that I need a dough bowl?   They have some that are over 3 feet long.

Antique Crib

Well, now that I've browsed a little, it time to head back home through the colorful countryside.

Hope that you have enjoyed our drive through the woods.

 Till Nest Time,

Jeannie

  3. Beautiful fall colors- always love seeing them. We're a ways past that point up here. That chandelier is quite something! I bought a mini dough bowl because I don't have room for the big ones but I really wanted one!

  4. Love your blue chandelier. The photographs of the leaves changing and the roads remind me of Maryland, where I grew up, so beautiful this time of year. Thanks for sharing.

    1. Hi Kim, there is nothing like summer time when you can spend time outside, but there is nothing more beautiful than the fall leaves, unfortunately they disappear too quickly, looks like winter this morning. Hope that you are having a fabulous day. Thank you so much for the visit.
