Mirror, Mirror On The Wall, I Mean Table!

Hello Again From the French Hen's Nest,

Have you been looking at your end tables, bedside tables, and thinking they need to go!  Maybe they need to be painted?  They just need something.

I have some old tables, that have seen better days, but I don't want to paint them, they wouldn't fit in painted.  I really can't see replacing them, because nothing new would make me happy.   What I have works in the space and is just the right size.  However, they do need a lift.

While I was looking around in Ikea, I found a round mirror at a very reasonable price, and thought maybe it would look good added to the top of my table.  It fits very nicely, with about an inch rim on the outside..  I love it, my pie shaped table has a much newer, more current look now.  And I really like the mirrored look.

Don't you think it totally changes the look?

So if you are looking at your tables, and thinking they need a face lift, try adding a mirror, and see if that helps.

Thank you so much for coming by.

Till Nest Time,

Jeannie

  5. I use mirrors on just about every flat surface in the house. I have a round side table with a water spot and a cigarette burn that I have not gotten to. Nobody but me knows this because the mirror hides the flaws.

  14. Good Afternoon Jeannie, What a fabulous idea....this certainly updates your side table as mirrored furniture is very popular at the moment.
I can always rely on you to bring something wonderful to our attention, as who would have thought a trip to IKEA would have produced this lovely update to your table.
Sorry I have not been around to comment, but after arriving home from India, what with jet lag, it is taking me a little while to catch up with my favourite blogs.
    Have a lovely day,
    Best Wishes
    Daphne
